A faithful costume to the original
For Sam Raimi, it was not a question of reinventing the famous Spider-Man costume, but rather of "translating it to the screen". The costume designer explains that “it took six months of development. The costume is based on tension, it is made in one piece since boots to the top of the head. The fabric was printed with a computer-made rectangular pattern that creates the illusion dimension, almost a 3-D effect. There are over 120 individual screen-printed designs on the costume, for shading and light reflections..."

The failed cameo by J.K Rowling
J.K Rowling closely followed the production of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in order to advise Columbus and the actors. But did you know she could have appeared in the film? The writer revealed on her Pottermore site that she had been approached to play Lily Potter – Harry's mother – in the Mirror of Erised scene. Rowling finally gave up her place to Geraldine Somerville because she "wasn't an actress and she would have ruined everything".

GROOAAAAR !!!
The team responsible for recreating the different sounds and cries of the dinosaurs had to be very creative. For example, the cry of Dilophosaurus, the frilled dinosaur, is a combination of cries of howler monkeys, hawks, rattlesnakes and swans. Concerning the vicious Velociraptors, their shrill cry includes sounds of elephant seals, dolphins and walruses. As to to the chilling roar of the T-Rex, it was obtained by combining barks, cries of penguins, tigers, alligators and elephants. The cry of the friendly rachiosaurus was created with sounds of whales and donkeys. We must have felt like we were in Noah's Ark at the people responsible for the soundscape of the film.
